Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Terje is a senior industry expert at WestPark. Prior to joining West Park, Terje spent five years at Eitzen Chemical ASA as President and CEO. At Eitzen, he was responsible for the world's third largest chemical tanker fleet, integrating five acquired companies and building the company's operational platform. Before that he was Executive Vice President with Fred. Olsen & Co. for seven years. He initiated and led the restructuring of the group's renewables business into Fred. Olsen Renewables AS, where he was the CEO. Terje has also been President and CEO of BT Shipping Ltd, a NASDAQ-listed oil tanker company and worked as Managing Director at Pausco AS. He has a B.A in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. Terje is the Chairman of the Board of Nordic Tankers AS and Herning Shipping AS.
Ottar K Mæland
Interim Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director
Mr Mæland serves as Acting Chief Executive Officer since November 2017. Since joining DeepOcean in 2007, Mr Mæland has held various senior positions such as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. His prior experience includes seven years at Norsk Hydro. Mr Mæland holds a Master of Science in Material Technology, a Business Economist Degree from the Norwegian School of Management and graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
Bart H. Heijermans
Bart Heijermans has been a member of the DeepOcean Board of Directors since July 2011. He served as DeepOcean's Chief Executive Officer from February 2012 until November 2017. He is an accomplished and versatile global energy executive with more than 25 years of experience in the development, execution and operations of offshore oil & gas projects and with DeepOcean has been involved in a large number of offshore renewables projects. Prior to joining DeepOcean, Bart was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. (NYSE: HLX). He has held several senior positions with recognized energy companies such as Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE: EPD), El Paso Corporation and Royal Dutch Shell. He holds a Masters degree of Civil Engineering from the University of Delft in the Netherlands and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Bart is a non-executive director of Roll Holding B.V
Fredrik is an Investment Advisory Professional at Triton. He is the co-head of the Energy, Resources and Chemicals sector, and responsible for coordinating Triton’s investment advisory activities in Norway. Prior to joining Triton, Fredrik worked in investment banking at the Global Communications group at Citigroup in New York. Before that, he was in Citigroup's Equity Capital Markets group. He has a degree in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania Fredrik is member of the Board of Cubility AS, Nordic Tankers AS and Herning Shipping AS
Jack joined York Capital Management in September 2014 and is a Managing Director of European Credit based in London. From 2009 to 2014, Jack worked at Mount Kellett Capital Management as Director, European Investments in London, where he focused on special situations and distressed investing in Europe. Previously, Jack worked on the investment teams at Goldentree Asset management in London and Oak Hill Advisors in London and New York. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in the Mergers and Acquisitions investment banking group in New York. Jack holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University.
Hugh O’Donnell has extensive international industry experience having worked for Saipem, Micoperi, Belleli and Brown & Root. He served as Executive Board Member of Saipem Spa from 2001 through 2013 as Chief Operating Officer until 2009 and then as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Hugh holds a primary and master degree in Engineering and is involved as Consultant and Non-Executive Director for Rosetti Marino, Cathx Ocean and Drillmec Spa.
Chris has 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He has been with Royal Dutch Shell for 20 years, prior to which he worked for a Major EPC Contractor in international projects. He currently holds the role of Vice President Projects. Chris is British and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Teesside University in England. He is a Registered Project Professional with the Association of Project Management, is accredited by the Shell Project Academy and is a Shell approved Technical Authority in Project Management.
