DeepOcean owns and operates  four mechanical trenching systems ranging from T-3200, the most powerful underwater tracked vehicle in the world, to the smaller, lighter vehicles, T2 and T1, through to the Shallow Water Trencher, SWT-1 for beach approach operations.

DeepOcean has developed a proven track record for the burial of pipelines, flowlines, umbilicals and submarine cables, including Life of Field Seismic (LoFS) systems and power cables using all of the above mentioned mechanical trenching systems.

T3200

T3200 is a diver less trenching systems and  has two modes of operations when configured in the mechanical cutting mode utilizing its own product handling equipment to self load :-

1 – Single  boom cutter mode – it is capable of cutting up to a 3.5m deep  x 860mm wide trench with a product minimum bend radius (MBR ) of 5.0 m.

2 – Three chain cutting mode, three individually powered and positioned cutting chains set at 45 degrees  create a 2.0m deep “V “Trench profile with 45 degree  walls, targeted at the stabilisation and lowering of large pipelines up to 1.5m OD. T3200 can additionally facilitate simultaneously jetting and eduction systems whist operating to enhance the process.

 

T2

The T2 trencher is a dual mode tracked vehicle for the burial of pipelines, flowlines, umbilicals and submarine cables. T2 can be adapted to operate in 2m chain cutting mode & simultaneously 2m jetting or a 3m jetting mode with backwash capability, this flexibility enables the T2 to seamlessly continue trenching in differing soil conditions . The trencher can be used for  simultaneous lay and burial installations or post burial in a wide range of soil conditions and water depths. T2 has a considerable track record in both Oil & Gas, Power Transmission and Offshore Renewables sectors

 

T1

The T1 trencher is a  tracked vehicle for the burial of  flowlines, umbilicals and submarine cables. T1 is operated utilising its wheel cutting system to create a trench depth up to 1.2m deep facilitating flexible products of up to 200mm wide . The trenching system is diver less and utilises a crane to self load in water depths up to 1000msw.  The trencher can be used for  simultaneous lay and burial installations or post burial in a wide range of soil conditions. T1 has a very extensive  track record in both Oil & Gas, Power Transmission and Offshore Renewables sectors.

 

SWT 1

SWT- 1 has been designed for the burial of submarine cables and umbilicals in shallow water and for beach operations.  SWT-1 can be adapted to operate in either  wheel cutting or jetting mode, to provide efficient burial depths in a wide range of soil conditions from  loose sand to 20MPa. The system is diver loaded and auxiliary power  is fed from a support craft.
