DeepOcean ethics and
compliance program

Anti-corruption
DeepOcean has a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. DeepOcean works against corruption in all its forms, and we have high expectations to our employees, our partners and our suppliers regarding ethics. We work to make sure that our business partners also share our commitment. Training is key when building a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour. DeepOcean mitigates corruption risk by means of an anti-bribery and corruption programme, which consists of an annual e-learning course and separate compliance classroom training. DeepOcean’s business conduct and ethics policy describes the overarching principles governing ethical practice, accountability and openness, and compliance with laws.
International trade restrictions
Most countries where DeepOcean operates impose restrictions on the movement of products across borders. Employees who handle the shipment, sale or electronic transfer of information or software must be aware of export control regulations and stay up to date on current export control regulations. DeepOcean will always comply with rules and regulations imposed by applicable authorities regarding global trade.
Human rights
DeepOcean is a party to the UN Global Compact (UNGC). In signing the UNGC, the company is committed to supporting and respecting the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights. Our anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking policy sets out our commitment to respect and protect human rights and freedoms and describes the systems and processes that guard those freedoms against abuse of any kind, including guidance on how to report concerns. These systems and processes form our fundamental human resources principles and are driven by our business conduct and ethics policy.
Integrity due diligence
While our governing documents are vital to secure commitment to maintain the highest ethical and legal standards and to ACT with integrity, they also contribute to set the expectations towards our business partners and suppliers. It is imperative that we maintain robust mechanisms to ensure that not only DeepOcean activities are free from improper business practices, but that the value chain we interact with is also vetted and continuously verified to comply with our standards and requirements.

Speak Up

In DeepOcean we value the safety and respect of everyone affected by our business. We rely upon our employees and external third parties that interact with us to ensure we are upholding the highest ethical standards and adhering to our company policies. We encourage to raise any concerns about unethical or illegal behaviour and to report suspected wrongdoing.

We want our employees to feel empowered to speak up without fear of reprisal. Most concerns can be resolved in dialogue with immediate manager directly or if not another manager, HR department or Legal & Compliance department.
